Export asks about restricted clipsΒΆ
You see: Restricted clips: "This reel includes 2 restricted clip(s), not cleared for public use:", the clips' names, and "Export anyway?". Or an AI assistant reporting that a shot is "marked restricted and not cleared for public use".
Why: A shot marked Restricted (not cleared for public use) is work you may not show. A reel export asks before writing anything that contains one, so it cannot leave by accident. It is a question rather than a block, because cutting with footage that is not cleared yet is a normal part of the work. An assistant has no one to answer a question, so it is refused unless it asks for restricted shots explicitly.
Fix:
- If the reel is for someone allowed to see the work, choose Yes.
- If it is not, choose Cancel, then replace or remove each clip the list names.
- If a shot has since been cleared, select it in its shot list and untick Restricted (not cleared for public use). The question stops naming it.
If that didn't work: A draft reel built with Include restricted shots, or a reel an assistant built with restricted shots, already has your permission, so its export does not ask. Exporting shots from a shot list never asks. See Restricted.
