The filename template was refusedΒΆ

You see: Filename template, refusing the template for a key it does not know, naming the key, or with a message that ends "Check the { } braces." Nothing has been written.

Why: The template is checked before the first clip renders, so a typo cannot spoil a batch. A key is a name in braces that becomes part of each clip's name, such as {shot_name}; ShotWork knows a fixed set of them plus every field in the shot selects file's preset, and a brace without its partner cannot be read at all.

Fix:

  1. Right-click the Filename template field and open Insert Key, so every key you add is one ShotWork knows.
  2. Check that every { has its }.
  3. Choose Export again.

If that didn't work: Clear the field: an empty template uses the default, {project}_{shot_name}_{index:03d}. See Name the clips for every key.
