Troubleshooting¶
Find what you saw, then follow its entry. Messages are written as Shotwork shows them.
Opening files¶

When nothing here helps¶
Note what you did just before, and copy the exact message, word for word. If Shotwork closed by itself, run it with crash diagnostics, as Shotwork closed unexpectedly describes, so it prints where it failed.
Report a problem¶
Not built yet
Report a Problem is not built. Roadmap, "Reporting a problem".
Help › Report a Problem… writes a report about the problem and your setup, and shows it to you in full before anything is sent.
- Choose Help › Report a Problem….
- In What happened?, describe what you did and what you saw.
- Read the report under it. It is everything that will be sent.
- Choose Email Report to open a new message in your email app, or Copy Report to paste it wherever you like.
The report names your Shotwork version, your operating system, the versions of the components Shotwork uses, and how many shot lists and reels were open. It never includes a file path or file name, a shot, reel or song name, a tag or any other field value, a frame, or your name.
